Police: Father Locked Out of Car with Baby Inside

Police said the 1-year-old child was in good condition once the vehicle was open.

A father locked himself out of his car last week in Northport, with his 1-year-old child inside the vehicle, according to Village police.

According to the incident report, the man, who was driving a 2013 Chevrolet rental car, bearing a Virginia registration, called 911 after he was locked out of the vehicle within Constitution Square Oct. 16 shortly after 4 p.m.

Responders opened the vehicle using a lock pick tool.

Police reported that the baby was in good condition, once the car was opened.
