Northport Police Report: Drug Possession, Petty Larceny

Incidents and arrests reported between April 27 and May 2.

Ethan Carlin, 24, of East Northport and Linda Abrams, 25, of East Northport were arrested on May 2 and charged with petty larceny after they allegedly stole two bottles of alcohol totaling $100 from Port to Port Liquor store.

A Woodbine Avenue man told police that numerous items were stolen from his home between late September and late April while he was away and getting construction done on his house as a result of damage from Hurricane Sandy.

An anonymous person reported an “angry middle eastern male with a scowl on his face yelling in a phone” while driving along Bluff Point Road.

Someone requested police assistance getting into their car along Main Street on April 27. The police officer was unable to trigger the door lock but access was gained by hitting the door open button on the actual ignition key.

A boy accidentally struck a toddler while riding his bike at Constitution Square on April 28. According to the toddler’s parents, the boy was riding on the sidewalk with his bike when he rode into their child causing him to fall and the rider of the bike to fall as well. At that point, the father of the child started yelling at the boy and picked up his bike and threw it onto the rocks. The bike was retrieved by a passerby. There was no damage to the bike. There were no injuries to any of the parties involved. The juvenile was warned and admonished about riding his bike on the sidewalks. The juvenile was escorted to his residence and contact was made with mother and advising of the incident.
