Northport Mayor George Doll declared a state of emergency as of 5:45 p.m. Friday night. Northport Police are requesting keep traffic to a minimum and remove cars from the street if possible so emergency vehicles and plows can get through.
Locust Road is closed due to downed trees and wires and Valley Road is closed for sledding. All other roads have been plowed at least once, said police, and should be passable.
