No One Injured In Pine Lake Park Fire

The residents were assisted with shelter arrangements by the Red Cross

No one was injured in a structure fire Friday at Sixth Avenue in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester Township.

After receiving the 5:57 p.m. call, officers arrived on the scene and observed heavy smoke coming from the Sixth Avenue home, police said.

Police confirmed that all residents were safely out of the single family home.

Shortly thereafter, the Manchester Volunteer Fire Co. arrived and began to extinguish the fire. The firefighters were able to contain the fire to the kitchen area of the residence, but the rest of the residence sustained heavy smoke damage, police said.

The fire is not considered suspicious, and the Manchester Township building inspector deemed the residence uninhabitable. The residents were assisted with shelter arrangements by the Red Cross, police said.

Manchester Fire was assisted by the following agencies: Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Co., Whiting Volunteer Fire Co., Lakehurst Volunteer Fire Co., Lakehurst Joint Base Fire Co. and Manchester Volunteer First Aid.

The volunteers and all fire departments deserve a big THANK YOU and praise for their quick response on Friday evening. From the moment the call was made, it was only minutes before the first truck arrived. A great job well done!

Is that the same house that went on fire on sixth ave in this picture? This article stated the fire was contained to the kitchen area. That picture is showing the front of the house and almost destroyed from what I see.
