No one was injured in a structure fire Friday at Sixth Avenue in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester Township.
After receiving the 5:57 p.m. call, officers arrived on the scene and observed heavy smoke coming from the Sixth Avenue home, police said.
Police confirmed that all residents were safely out of the single family home.
Shortly thereafter, the Manchester Volunteer Fire Co. arrived and began to extinguish the fire. The firefighters were able to contain the fire to the kitchen area of the residence, but the rest of the residence sustained heavy smoke damage, police said.
The fire is not considered suspicious, and the Manchester Township building inspector deemed the residence uninhabitable. The residents were assisted with shelter arrangements by the Red Cross, police said.
