Local NRA Rep Faces Domestic Abuse Charges

Trial set for 9 a.m. Wednesday after two years of deferrals.

National Rifle Association (NRA) Field Specialist Richard Dalauro will go to trial on domestic abuse charges Wednesday after two years in court. His trial is set for Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. at the Suffolk County First District Court in Central Islip.

Dalauro was living in East Northport with his wife and two children when he was arrested by Suffolk County Police on Sept. 1, 2010 and charged with second degree harassment (physical contact), acting in a manner to injure a child under age 17, and assault with intent to cause physical injury.

He is also facing a charge of second degree criminal contempt for violating a court order of protection in October of 2010.
