Hit and Run at St. Philip Neri

A witness said a white pickup truck hit the stairs and fled the scene.

An unknown person driving a white pickup truck west on Main Street Sunday at approximately 8:15 p.m. apparently veered off the roadway and on to the front steps at .

In the process, the driver ran over several shrubs and knocked over the wrought-iron railings.

Tire tracks were visible in the snow several hours later.

The driver allegedly violated Section  600-1A LSOI of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, or leaving the scene of an accident without reporting it.

Police surmise that most of the damage to the pickup truck would be to the front and the driver's side.
