Heroin Bust in Northport

The arrest took place at the CVS parking lot in Northport.

A man was arrested after he was found in possession of 30 small baggies of heroin at the CVS parking lot on Fort Salonga Road in Northport on Wednesday at about 8:05 p.m, police say.

Police say Nicolas Duva, 23, of East Northport was carrying 6.4 grams and .23 ounces of heroin, Northport police say. 

He was also found with prescription pills, marijuana and a hypodermic needle.

The heroin was packaged in three separate bundles with 10 individually wrapped packages in each bundle, according to police.

Duva was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, fourth-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic needle and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Arraigned by Judge Senzer, Duva is due back in court on Monday, April 28.
