East Northport Woman Arrested for DWI After Commack Crash

Woman hit parked car before crashing into tree on Tuesday night, say police.

Suffolk County police said Rachel Dreher, 35, of East Northport, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Tuesday night.

Police said they received a phone call at approximately 11:30 p.m. Tuesday reporting a drunk driver had crashed into a parked Jeep on Somers Lane in Commack. Dreher was driving a 2006 Acura along Somers Lane when she hit the parked vehicle before crashing into a tree on the opposite side of the roadway.

Dreher was arrested at the scene with only minor injuries, according to police.

Commack residents are accusing an allegedly drunk driver of leaving behind a trail of damage on Somers Lane. There was significant damage done to the parked Jeep.
