Cops: Drugs, Bullets Pulled from Woodbine Avenue Home

Police long suspected drugs were being sold out of the house and on Wednesday acted on a search warrant at the scene.

Northport Village police said they arrested four people and took an assortment of drugs and live bullets out of a Woodbine Avenue house, wrapping up a months-long sting this week.

Police said they had suspected drugs were being sold out of the house and on Wednesday acted on a search warrant.

They found more than eight ounces on marijuana, suboxone pills, drug paraphernalia for weighing and packaging drugs, hypodermic needles and a few fake guns, police said. Even more unsettling, police recovered live ammunition, which they said suggest live weapons may have been in the house at some point.

Four people were arrested, including one minor, and charged with a slate of misdemeanor drug possession charges.

Northport Police Officer Christopher Hughes, a 13-year veteran of the force, spearheaded the bust.
