Car Overturned in Ocean Avenue Crash

A Greenlawn man overturned his car after another driver allegedly cut him off. 

Michael Guttilla, 25, of Sharon Lane in Greenlawn, was driving a 2002 Jeep south on Ocean Avenue just past Dogwood Road in Northport Village Monday just after 12:30 a.m. As he approached Valley Road on his right side, the operator of another vehicle entered his lane, according to the report filed by Northport Police Officer Christopher Hughes.

In an attempt to avoid that vehicle, Guttilla swerved, lost control of his vehicle and struck the earth embankment on the west side of Ocean Avenue. His vehicle was overturned due to the impact and  sustained severe damage, particularly to the passenger-side of the car.

Guttilla was unable to give a description of other vehicle.

His vehicle was demolished and towed from the scene by Village Auto Care in Greenlawn.
