Car Crashes into Tree on Waterside

Northport F.D. rescued woman from car Monday morning.

A car crashed into a tree on Waterside Avenue in Crab Meadow Monday, according to Northport Fire Department officials.

The accident occurred at 10:21 a.m. When the fire department arrived one female victim was found injured and the rescue squad successfully extricated her from the car. She was transported to Huntington hospital and the car safely secured.

The Northport Fire Department response was under the command of Chief Christopher Hughes and Assistant Chief Brad Wine,  Heavy Rescue unit 2-9-10, Ambulances 2-9-15 and 2-9-5, Engine 2-9-6, and Fire Police unit 2-9-11. Also assisting was SCPD unit 216.
