A car crashed through the storefront of on Jericho Turnpike in East Northport Sunday afternoon, causing property damage but no serious injuries, Suffolk County Police said.
According to accounts from the scene, the driver of a late model BMW attempting to park in front of the carpet store hit the gas pedal by accident and smashed through the glass and concrete entrance. The accident happened at about 3:09 p.m.
The driver was transported to Huntington Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
