Northporters experienced a sudden power outage Sunday afternoon after a transformer blew on Fort Salonga Road at Reservoir Avenue sending a live wire down to the ground.
The outage occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. Traffic was impeded along that stretch of 25A near Stop & Shop as workers fixed the line. LIPA restored power a few hours later.
