The put out a fire in an attached garage at 105 Bellecrest Avenue early Monday afternoon before it could spread, according to Second Assistant Chief Wayne Kaifler.
Assistant Chief Joe Ervin was in charge of the call, which came in at 11:55 a.m. while the homeowners were at work. He and 40 firefighters with two engines and a ladder truck got the blaze under control in 15 minutes and all units were back in service within an hour.
