Robbery at Northport CVS

Two men demanded cash from the manager of the Fort Salonga Road store, stating that they had a gun.

Two men robbed a CVS store in Northport Saturday, demanding cash from the manager and threatening that they had a gun, while customers were in the building, according to Northport police.

According to Northport Police Lieutenant William Ricca, the two suspects walked into the store, located at 753 Fort Salonga Road in Northport, at about 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16. The first suspect asked the cashier to bring the manager to the front of the store, where he was handed a note, stating it was a robbery and that he had a gun, Ricca said. The suspect directed the manager to the office to take money out of the safe. The second suspect acted as a lookout. The robbers fled with $3,200 in stolen cash, police said.

The first suspect is described as a heavy set, Hispanic male with light skin between the ages of 25 and 30. He was described as 5'3'' and was wearing rectangular-framed glasses.
