The economy is in bad shape when we have regulars who scour Main St. each morning looking for dropped items and money. There are the regulars, the thin man, the lady with the dog but this new guy is going to give the regulars a run for their money. Someone crazy-glued a couple of coins onto one of the round metal plates as a joke, to watch people stoop and try to pick them up. This new guy came armed with a hammer and chisel (having been fooled before) and managed to disconnect the 30 cents and pocketed them. How bad a shape are we in when  people have to scour the streets for change?
