Paul Saurer Dies at 84

Northport veteran was a retired economist with Texaco Oil.

Paul A. Saurer of Northport, formerly of Sag Harbor, passed away on Dec. 31 at 84.

He was a proud WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and retired economist with Texaco Oil.  Beloved husband of the late Donna Saurer. Devoted father of Paula (Arthur) Glad, Deborah (Robert Schmiedecke) Knoblauch, Paul (Danielle) Saurer and Robert Saurer. Loving grandfather of Christian & Lindsey Glad and Isabelle, Paul, Jr., and Danny Saurer.

Reposing will be at Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home on Friday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service and U.S. Navy Military Honors Saturday 11 a.m. at Funeral Home.
