Northport Youth Football Report

Late September game recaps and scores for the Northport Youth Football.

5/6 Black Tigers 7 vs. East Islip 21

Saturday morning on a wet field and a steady rainfall the Tigers faced a bigger team from East Islip. While it was a daunting task the Tigers came out with their "A" game. Tim McLam started the game off with a 25 yard scamper. Quinn Reynolds took the ensuing snap, dropped back and hit Luka Elmaleh for a 20 yard touchdown strike. The defense took the field and allowed a lone score to even things up heading in to the half. 3rd quarter highlights on offense included a 20 yard reception by Quinn Reynolds and a 10 yard run by Quinn Napolitano. Tough running by Danny DeMarco and Julien Bush was also featured. Great work on the line by the Valenti brothers and Connor Hennigman. The 4th quarter was upon the Tigers and a score would seal the deal for East Islip. On the first play from scrimmage they cashed in for a touchdown and immediately for another one on the next play. The Tigers still had some fight left in them. James O'Malley busted through the line on 2 separate plays for 2 solo tackles, and the Tigers gang tackled their way to prevent any further damage. That was Tiger pride at its best *******************************************************************
