As of early Friday morning, there were still some tickets left for the suspense comedy "Murder at the Howard Johnson's" at the Arena Players Repertory Theater. The 9 p.m. show will include wine, champagne, coffee, and pastries throughout the evening. Special deal: buy one ticket at $60, get the second half off. Looking for a little entertainment with your meal? Head to Elijah Churchill’s Public House where for a $10 cover charge, you can enjoy an appetizer buffet and a champagne toast while listening to Orion Five beginning at 10 pm. If a 3-course dinner for $35.95 sounds good, head to Skippers Pub on Main Street in Northport. Live music will be provided by Rock Pocket. Call 631-261-3589 to make a reservation but you’d better hurry – they’re almost full.
Mascali’s on Larkfield Road in East Northport is serving up some jazz along with a four-course prix fixe dinner for $79.95 which includes a champagne toast at midnight. Reservations are still being taken for the 9 p.m. seating. For more information, call 631-757-2404.

If you’re not into the whole ball-dropping thing, then settle back and take your pick of TV marathons:
The Syfy Channel will be showing episodes of The Twilight Zone starting at 9 a.m. on Dec. 31 and running until 6 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
Stay out of the water: Spike TV will be showing back-to-back Jaws movies staring at 9 a.m. on Dec. 31, beginning with "Jaws: The Revenge."
Bang, zoom! WPIX Channel 11 will again host the perennial favorite "Honeymooners," starting at 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
Bravo will be showing non-stop "Real Housewives" episodes beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
TBS will offer up episodes of the hit comedy "The Big Bang Theory" starting at 7 p.m.
Get your fill of zombies with AMC’s horror/sci-fi series "The Walking Dead" beginning at 11 a.m.
Discovery has back-to-back episodes of the reality series “Weed Wars” starting at 2 p.m. At 6 p.m., the network begins a marathon of "Moonshiners."
Holy cannoli, Batman! Hub TV kicks off a marathon of the classic 60s TV show at 11 p.m. through 6 a.m. New Year’s Day.
