Santa and Mrs. Claus Visit Asharoken Children
The Asharoken Police Department and Village officials welcomed the Mr. and Mrs. Claus as they arrived from the North Pole.
Children of Asharoken got a visit from everybody's favorite jolly old man Sunday at Village Hall.
Santa and Mrs. Claus spread holiday cheer as they were welcomed by Asharoken Mayor Greg Letica, Village trustees and the Asharoken Police Department as he arrived from the North Pole with the assistance of the Northport Fire Department.
Santa and his helpers gave out hot chocolate, cookies, donuts, lollipops, oranges and candy-filled stockings as he listened to the Christmas wishes of smiling children.
The event was sponsored by the Village of Asharoken. The Asharoken Police Department assisted with traffic control, and the Northport Fire Department brought Santa and Mrs. Claus to Village Hall.
