Sunday at the Society -- "Northport's African American History"

Northport Historical Society will launch "Sunday at the Society," a series of monthly lectures, performances and demonstrations on Sunday, February 12th beginning at 3 p.m.  The inaugural presentation will feature author and historian Thelma Jackson-Abidally as she presents "Northport's African American History," a look at the African American families that once lived in Northport and their struggle to fit in a mostly white suburban community.  This event is open to everyone at a cost of $5 per person (Society members are free).
