Operation Christmas Child @ St. Paul's Lutheran

St Paul's Lutheran Church of East Northport is using the ministry of Operation Christmas Child to bring children and families together. The congregation is piling up shoe boxes filled with a variety of items such as small toys, school supplies and personal items like shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and the like.

The goal is to assemble and ship more than 200 boxes and have them ready to be shipped during National Collection week which ends November 21. This year operation Christmas Child hopes to collect over eight million gift filled shoe boxes throughout the world and deliver them to the world's neediest.

There is still time to participate! Filled empty shoe boxes can be labeled 'boy or girl' and the child’s age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. You can review gift ideas on their web site at www.samaritanspurse.org and click on Pack a Shoe Box. Boxes may be dropped in the church office.
