Museum Shop Reopening and Winter Weekend Sale

Winter blues got you down?

The Northport Historical Society will celebrate the grand reopening of its newly refurbished Museum Shop by hosting the second annual Winter Weekend Sale on Friday, February 25th and Saturday, February 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room of the Society’s museum, located at 215 Main Street in the village of Northport.

This event will feature a fabulous selection of drastically reduced items from the Museum Shop’s inventory, along with new items donated specifically for the sale.  Bargain hunters will be able to find fantastic deals on antique, vintage and collectible jewelry, glass, china, linens, art, furniture and other interesting and unusual oddities.  Shoppers are also invited to view the Museum’s current exhibit, “If Our Houses Could Talk . . . about origins, restorations and more,” in the upstairs gallery.

In the event of severe winter weather, a “snow date” for the sale has been scheduled for Friday, March 11th and Saturday, March 12th.  Proceeds will help support future exhibits, programs and events sponsored by the Society and its museum. The Northport Historical Society’s Museum is open to the public Tuesdays-Sundays from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.
