"Enchanted April" at Bare Bones Theater

Enchanted April is a romantic comedy in two acts, set in 1922.  When two frustrated London housewives decide to rent a villa in Italy for a holiday away from their bleak marriages, they recruit two very different English women to share the cost and the experience.  There, among the wisteria blossoms and Mediterranean sunshine, all four bloom again – rediscovering themselves in ways that they – and we – could never have expected.  Northport's Aimee Berlin and Charlotte Koons star in this fable of loss, hope and renewal, along with Gerry Glennon, Sinead Atkinson, James Bradley, Scott McIntryre, Alex Rich, and Regina Pasqualino.  The 2003 stage adaptation of the Elizabeth von Arnim novel won the John Glassner Award for Outstanding New American Play.  Directed by Christine Nelson.  Produced by Alex Edwards-Bourdrez.  Tickets are $25.  http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/760948 or call 631-606-0026
