: The Northport boys lacrosse team rallied to beat upstate power Corning Saturday at Veterans Park in East Northport, capping a day of thrilling lacrosse while raising awareness. The day-long event was named for Louis Acompora, a goalie on the freshman lacrosse team who died in 2000 after being struck in the chest with a ball and suffering commotio cordis, a rare form of cardiac arrest.
