Veterans Day: What's Open, What's Closed
Things to know around Northport this Veterans Day.
Veterans Day is a federal holiday honoring those who served in the military. It coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I.
Here are some things to know:
- There is no mail delivery and post offices are closed.
- TD Bank is open, all other banks are closed
- Northport-East Northport and Elwood schools are closed
- Northport-East Northport and Elwood Public Libraries are closed
- Northport Village Hall and Huntington Town Hall are closed, Town trash pickup does not change.
