According to many websites measuring people's preferences, the top ten most popular dog names seem to be trending toward the human side, perhaps reflecting our sentiments for man's best friend as being "one of the family," now more than ever.
If you shiver at the thought of scratching "Frank's" belly, however, you aren't alone. Many people prefer more fanciful names that reflect a dog's personality or circumstances like "Trouble," because he's always getting into it, or "Chance" because he got a second one after you adopted him from a shelter.
