Sound Off: What's Your Cat's Name?

Upload a photo of your kitty.

Cat names are often in a league of their own. A "Conan the Barbarian" of the dog world, may be a "Socks Fifth Avenue" of the feline persuasion...then there are the bouncy "Tiggers" and curious "Widgets" and the sneaky "Mr. Bigglesworths."

Perhaps you are even the proud owner of a pop tart or ninja cat.

You've got the floor Northport cat owners: What's the name you've chosen for your kitty? Do you think it fits his or her personality? If you're the proud owner of a duo or trio of kitties, did you name them to all go together?

Share your fuzzy one's name with us and the story behind it -- post an adorable picture on our gallery while you're at it!

I had a one-eyed black cat named Blackbeard, but he was too sweet for the name so I ended up just calling him kitty. "Blackbeard" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, anyway.

At the present time I have three cats, Becky, Jake and Benji. These names were the ones chosen at the animal shelter prior to adopting them. The names that were chosen seemed to fit them.

We just adopted a male black cat from the Brookville Animal Shelter on last BLACK Friday. He was already named Blaze by the staff and since we wanted to ease his transition kept it as his "official" name, and it sure fits as he is a BLAZE of energy and fire with an intense lust for his newfound life. What a blessing!!

Old Fisherman, your cat's smile is priceless. He looks like a proper gentleman, just missing a top hat.
