Gov. Cuomo has signed the Concussion Management and Awareness Act, which requires schools to adopt regulations on the recognition and monitoring of student athletes who have suffered concussions.
Under the law, schools must establish minimum guidelines regarding removal from play, physician clearance, and “return to play” protocols.
