A Northport man has been arrested in connection with a rash of recent car break-ins in the Northport area, say Suffolk County Police.
Dillon Noseda, 23, was arrested at his home on Aug. 10 and charged with six counts of petty larceny, two counts of grand larceny and one count of endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly broke into a number of cars between Aug. 6 and 9. Items stolen included credit cards, jewelry, car chargers, and keys.
Tim Carroll of West Street in Crab Meadow had his wallet stolen from his car. "I woke up to find the hood of my car open, my trunk open, and when I went in, I saw the light on in my car," he said. "They had gone through a bag of mine, actually stole my wallet, my headphone, my car charger--- anything electrical they grabbed."
Noseda was allegedly toting a child in a stroller while riffling through unlocked cars in one incident on Hewitt Drive. When a resident confronted him, said an anonymous witness, Noseda reportedly ran away and got into a car that was waiting on the street.
