Poetry Workshop, Clean Comedy Show

Hello and welcome to the Wednesday edition of "The Daily Five," a rundown of things to know or do in the community.

1. Weather: Sunny, with a high near 63. Light and variable wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

2. Poetry Workshop: Join the Library’s new poetry reading and discussion group, led by Bob Little, and explore the ideas of various poets and the forms they use to present them. Members of the group will enhance the poets’ ideas by drawing on their own experience and personal insights. 2:30 p.m. at East Northport Library.

3. Clean Comedy Show: Enjoy an evening of Squeaky Clean Comedy at Samantha's Li'l Bit of Heaven featuring some of Long Island's funniest, finest comedians. 8 p.m.

4. Flu Clinic: 3-6 p.m. at Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk. Medicare Part B and Medicaid will be billed directly if you bring your ID Card. If you are enrolled in a Medicare HMO or Medicare Managed Care plan, the charge is $30. You will receive a receipt to submit to your insurance company. For the general public (adults 19 & over). Clinc unable to administer the flu vaccine to pregnant women.
