Two Canadians and local police officers helped save a man's life in Huntington Station Tuesday after seeing a man collapsed in the street early Tuesday.

: Funeral arrangements have been set for Commack native Kerry Fitzsimons, a Marist student who died in an off-campus house fire near the college last Saturday. Authorities cited smoke inhalation as the cause of Fitzsimons' death. : Former Town of Smithtown building inspector Robert Bonerba, 62, was arrested Tuesday on charges of purchasing heroin, New York State police said. Bonerba previously served as the Town of Smithtown's chief building inspector from 1998 to 2008. He was formerly convicted of taking bribes from developers to expedite a Nesconset construction project and misrepresent the status of an illegal Kings Park apartment.

: One person was injured in a two-car crash in Huntington Friday. The impact of the collsion on Depot Road near Bogart Street launched a Honda Sedan into a utility pole, according to emergency responders at the scene.
