Monday, July 4: Parade, Fireworks and More

A roundup of things to know today.

  1. Today is America's Independence Day, commemoration the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. To honor that day, the 40th Annual Eaton's Neck 4th of July parade takes place today. See
  2. The Asharoken fireworks will go off tonight after sunset. They are visible from many spots around town, particularly from Asharoken beaches and properties and from the James Street hill in Northport. See
  3.  camp begins Tuesday. See registration
  4. basketball camp begins Tuesday, as well. See registration
  5. Registration for camps that begin later this summer including Cow Harbor United Soccer and Northport Tiger Lacrosse are ongoing. See more info on our events page.
