Huntington Planning Board Meeting, Hoops for Luke

Hello and welcome to the Wednesday edition of "The Daily Five," a rundown of things to know or do in the community.

1. Weather: Sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph. For the night the forecast is partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight.

2. Planning Board Meeting, Capital Budget Public Hearing: Both the meeting and public hearing are set for 7 p.m. at Town Hall, located at 100 Main Street in Huntington.

3. Hoops for Luke: Head over to  at 6 p.m. for "Hoops for Luke," a 3-on-3 basketball tournament to benefit Lukas Vallas, a graduate of the high school who was diagnosed with cancer. Click for more details.
