Get Out! Northport's Weekend Planner: Oct. 19-21

It's Friday and you have no idea what to do this weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue with the best bets around town.

: This Pulitzer Prize-nominated play starts with an overview of the creation of the universe and ends with a "sweetheart dance" between two ex-lovers at their 20th high school reunion in tiny Pine City, Minnesota. It is a sad, funny and highly theatrical tale about love, loss, hope, and the fact that, like it or not, time moves in only one direction.   Playwright Craig Wright is a prolific, award-winning dramatist who has also written for Lost and Six Feet Under, for which he was nominated for an Emmy.  The Pavilion is directed by Jeff Bennett and produced by Eileen Harrington. Bare Bones Theater, Friday and Saturday from 8-10 p.m.

Northport Farmers Market: Located at the foot of Main Street at Cow Harbor Parking Lot at the harbor in Northport Village, the Market will include fresh vegetables and fruit from Long Island farmers, fresh fish, grass fed meats, eggs, gourmet foods, fresh pasta, cheese and pickles,, baked goods, gluten free chocolates and cookies, jams, jellies and tapenades, oils, sauces and vinegars, micro brewed beer, handmade soaps, and scrubs, fresh cut flowers, potted plants, perennials and annuals, herbs, treats for your pets, and music for your entertainment. Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fall Festival: Commack United Methodist Church - Come Join us - You may purchase a hand-made item for yourself or to give as a gift at our ever-popular Boutique. Our Bake Table has a delicious array of homemade cakes, breads and cookies. Our Parcel Post Booth is where you can buy 'surprise gifts' from 'faraway lands'. Find just what you were looking for at our White Elephant Table. Plan to enjoy Breakfast or Lunch at our Country Kitchen or our Korean Food Table.  NEW THIS YEAR...Various Gift Baskets! The Fair is held in the Fellowship Hall. Commack Methodist Church, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
