Get Out! Northport's Weekend Planner: Aug. 24-26

A rundown of family-friendly events this weekend.

It's Friday and you have no idea what to do this weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue with the best bets around town.

Happenings on Main Street: Tommy Santoriello & Margaret Lassen will play popular and Americana music, Mother Water Band will play world music and African jazz. Friday at 7 p.m. at the Northport Dock.

Northport Farmers Market: Located at the foot of Main Street at Cow Harbor Parking Lot at the harbor in Northport Village, the Market will include fresh vegetables and fruit from Long Island farmers, fresh fish, grass fed meats, eggs, gourmet foods, fresh pasta, cheese and pickles,, baked goods, gluten free chocolates and cookies, jams, jellies and tapenades, oils, sauces and vinegars, micro brewed beer, handmade soaps, and scrubs, fresh cut flowers, potted plants, perennials and annuals, herbs, treats for your pets, and music for your entertainment. 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Five Family Garage Sale: One family is moving and other extended family has been cleaning. Holiday decorations, clothes, women's shoes size 9-11, little tykes toys, furniture, knick knacks. At least 1/3 of garage sale is .25 cents. 8 a.m. at 7 Dogwood Ln, Northport. Saturday.

All Nite Pay-To-Get-Out Horror Marathon: Five 35 mm films with vintage horror film trailers start at 11 pm Saturday and continue until dawn. The Descent, Ringu, Martyrs, [REC] and the Mystery 5th Feature (best-kept secret on Long Island) are rated R. Huntington Cinema Arts Center. $15
