Photos: Cub Scouts Make Thanksgiving Care Packages

Pack 42 stocks boxes with all the fixings.

At its November Pack Night, Northport Cub Scout Pack 42 participated in two community drives. Each Den organized and stocked a “Thanksgiving in a Box” so local families in need can have all that is required for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Additionally, the scouts worked alongside Long Island Woodworkers Association members Matt Stern and Chuck Burg to assemble toys to be donated to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. They assembled Battleship Crayon holders, as wells as bird houses and models of ships and tanks.

It was an evening of cooperation that saw parents, Cubs, siblings & Cub Leaders all pitching in with their guests to work on projects for those who are less fortunate.
