The much anticipated 2013 "There's No Place Like Northport" calendar will be available at local stores starting Friday, Sept. 15.

The theme of the calendar, which focuses on the unique slice of American life that is Northport, is Memory Lane. To celebrate its landmark fifth anniversary, the calendar boasts its first winter cover. Based on a painting created by award-winning artist Jo-Ann Corretti, the cover showcases Northport in a snowglobe as the Village looks at holiday time during Winterfest. The cover was designed by Northport High School media arts teacher John DeRosa.

As always, the calendar features photographs and paintings of Northport's most beloved landmarks as well as local dates, such as theater openings and Cow Harbor Day. The dates of more than 20 organizations and businesses are posted as a community service. The calendars are $12 each.

Elise and Alan Pearlman, the calendar's creators, will be selling calendars in on Cow Harbor Day, Sunday, Sept. 16.

The calendar will also be available for purchase in Northport at , Mari’s Hallmark Store, , , , , , , , and Book Revue in Huntington.
