Whitman Mall News: 2 New Stores; Saks to Host Pre-Prom Party

A Brighton Collectibles store is scheduled to open at the Walt Whitman Mall May 1. The company specializes in accessories, from wallets to sunglasses, handbags, belts, lipstick cases and footwear. The 1,200 square-foot store will be located near Bloomingdale’s and the Apple store in the south end of the complex. 

A branch of the almost nationwide chain Francesca’s Collections, which describes itself as offering "fashion forward women's clothing, gifts and accessories, opened recently and is set between the Pottery Barn furniture and home accessories store and The Children's Place clothing store. The store is the s first Long Island location and offers women's clothing, accessories and gifts.  The store's phone number is: (631) 427-9595

Saks Fifth Avenue is hsoting a "pre-prom party" Saturday, March 19. Shoppers can try on dresses enjoy the music of a live DJ and learn all the pro tips from Saks' in-house make-up artists and hair stylists.  There's a chance to win a six-hour Ultimate Class Limo certificate and Saks Spa and Salon gift basket.
