UPS Store Reopens in Fort Salonga; Fine Accents Closes on Main St.

One store opens while another closes.

Town of Huntington Councilwoman Susan Berland, Northport Chamber of Commerce members and the Easter Bunny joined the owners of the Northport UPS store for its offiicial re-opening recently. The store is located at 1019 Fort Salonga Road in the North Fort Town Plaza.

The councilwoman cut the official ribbon to re-open the business with the Gouldson family.

"It is a pleasure to be here this afternoon and I would like to welcome The UPS Store to Northport," commented Councilwoman Berland.  "I encourage everyone to frequent this store and continue to support our local businesses."

Fine Accents Shuts Doors
After having been located at 235 Main Street for almost a decade, Fine Accents recently held a clearance sale and closed its doors. The store, which was owned by Norma Dentale, sold home furnishings and accessories.

The 1,500 square feet space located directly oppoiste the Northport post office and John W. Engeman Theater, is now for rent by the owner. It is zoned C-6, commercial.
