The owner of U2 Nail in East Northport is opening a new salon in the old location of Blockbuster on 745 Fort Salonga Road by CVS.
Owner Sophie Lee's new salon is at least three times larger than her first on 218 Laurel Road and will likely open by the end of next month. The salon will offer manicures, pedicures, facials and reflexology with ten pedicure chairs, ten manicure tables, and a large stable of private facial rooms.
Lee is currently in the process of remodeling the interior of the building, an airy space painted a calming cream color with brown and gold accents. The staff will alternate between U2 Nails Laurel Road and U2 Nails Fort Salonga Road. Five reflexologists will staff the new location.
Competition among nail salons is fierce, with at least three others in the immediate area.
