Suffolk Physical Therapy Opens in Northport

The state-of-the-art facility stands in the space once occupied by the Northport Gourmet Deli.

Suffolk Physical Therapy opened its doors on Tuesday in the space once occupied by the Northport Gourmet Deli on Main Street.

Owner Thomas Gruhn did a major renovation of the building at 40 Main Street including a restoration of the old tin ceiling and the addition of private therapy rooms. Gruhn has also added a one-way mirror to the space which allows patients using the elliptical trainer and the treadmill to look out on Main Street without being on public display.

Gruhn is a Board Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist who did his undergraduate studies at Northeastern University and his physical training at Daemen College in Buffalo. Full time physical therapist Erin Imbasciani did her undergraduate work at University of Maryland and went on to attend Turo College for her physical therapy training.
