Northport: Open For Business

What's open in the greater Northport-East Northport area.

Hurricane Sandy wrecked Long Island. But as of Thursday afternoon, power was restored to four key arteries that feed the Northport area.

I would just like to give a big THANK YOU to Franco, the chef at Nina's - I had just been to the doctor's and given a script for antibiotics - probably strep - another headache on top of not having power and Internet. All I wanted was a load of garlic for lunch. I asked for a bowl of broccoli rabe and sausage & peppers with extra garlic - I cannot begin to describe how delicious it was, and was exactly what I needed. Thank you, Artie and Franco :-)

From a reader: Pat's Marketplace on Larkfield and Pulaski Roads was very fortunate not to lose power at all. We are fully operational, and have mostly everything in stock, and have been receiving deliveries every day. Fresh Meat, Deli, Fruits and vegetables, milk, eggs, bread, and full line of grocery items. We are also offering free cups of hot coffee to anyone in need, all mornings from 8:00am-2:00pm.
