New Business Moving into Old Mr. B's Location

Renovations underway for new interior design store.

An interior design store will take the place of shop on Main Street, which closed in late August.

Signs pasted on the window advertise a business called "Barton @ Home" and hide an interior undergoing renovations. The owner could not be contacted for comment.

Mr. B's, a Northport motorcycle accessories outpost for over 50 years, will continue its business online selling chrome parts, patches, decals, posters, Grateful Dead wear, leathers, and more. The owners declined to comment on their closing.

What are your memories of Mr. B's? Tell us in the comments.

Great to see it go....... His Mom & Dad are still turning over in their graves. When first opened it was a great local "sugar bowel" type place. Run by two of the nicest people. Then junior turned it into the Village's "go to" place for drug Paraphernalia, (all legal) & motorcycle accessory store. He must have done well to stay open that long...

I remember when it had a soda counter you could sit at. Then I remember the one day we went in to see it had converted to the "head shop" selling drug paraphernalia. Happy to see it go. WELCOME Barton @ Home !!

That place was discusting. It smelled of cigarette smoke, it was dusty and dirty. Glad to see it go, online is a good place for him, now junior can sell via the Internet and smoke in his own home. and the FBI can track all his order activity and keep it legal. Best of luck to him and welcome new design store, more appropriate for our village.

I think you meant sugar "bowl" lol. Junior is a very wealthy man from his internet sales over the years and the store was just kept as a hobby. I always wondered how he could stay in business selling rolling papers, bongs and the like. But then again Northport has always been a very supportive community.
