Motorists began lining up at service stations throughout Huntington Thursday evening to fill car tanks and gas cans as blizzard warnings arrived.
Though nowhere near as long as the lines that formed during the Sandy gas shortage, queues of 15 to 20 cars could be seen Thursday evening at stations along Jericho Turnpike.
One snowplow operator, filling up jerry cans for use during the storm, suggested people were panicking unnecessarily.
"They don't need it; I need it. This is crazy," he said, gesturing to waiting cars.
