Empty in Northport: Former Health Port

What would you like to see in this vacant property?

Health Port's doors have been closed for nearly four months now and the owners of the shopping center on 25A say they have multiple entities interested in taking over the former health food store.

"We want to have a tenant that brings in customers for the other tenants," said property owner Glenn Gordon. "We want to make sure we get the right tenant."

One thing is for certain-- don't expect another restaurant. According to Gordon, wastewater regulations prohibit anything but a dry usage.

Who would you like to see take over this vacant property? Tell us in the comments.

All the Blockbusters/video stores have gone out of business. Everyone either rents through Netflix or Red Box or Cablevision PPV.
How about an exercise studio? Perhaps with emphasis on weights, tai chi (for the older crowd), and aerobics. The one in Centerport on Washington Drive is not very convenient and parking is difficult. This location would offer plenty of parking and is very easy to drive to from just about anywhere.
