An East Northport businessman from Kings Park has taken a turn in Hollywood.
Steve Gagliano, owner of Tormented Souls Tattoo in East Northport, plays an Albanian gangster in the new action-thriller "Dead Man Down" starring Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, and Terrence Howard. The film, released March 8, is about a thug (Farrel) with a secret past who goes head to head with a woman (Rapace) seeking revenge for an attack.
Gagliano acts alongside Farrell throughout the movie until he is shot and crushed by a truck. He said of Farrell, "He was self-centered, but to give him a little credit, a lot of times when actors are preparing for a movie they try to get into the role and they are constantly thinking about it."
Gagliano gave Terrence Howard a better review: "He was awesome, so down to earth and grateful. I can't even tell you what a great guy he is. He's somebody you'd really like to be friends with. He kept thanking everybody. It was a totally different end of the spectrum."
This is Gagliano's first principal role in a Hollywood movie. He has previously acted as an extra.
