Target Sets Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Target will mark the opening of its Huntington Station store with a ribbon-cutting and tour of the store on Tuesday.

The company said the Walt Whitman band, members of fire departments and local officials are scheduled to participate. 

The store, on the site of the former Huntington Townhouse at 124 E. Jericho Tpke., will open to the public on Wednesday, the company said. Signs on the building that say it will open Oct. 13 refer to its official grand opening.

Plans For Commack Hess Station Move Ahead

Plans for a proposed Hess gas station at the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Harned Road in Commack are moving forward.

The Smithtown Board voted 4-1 last Thursday to accept a report declaring that the site would not negatively impact the environmental standards for the area. If approved, the station will include 12 pumps and a convenience store.

Uniquely Natalie Brings Designer's Flair to St. James

A local interior designer is bringing her own stylish sensibilities to Saint James. 

Uniquely Natalie, a new fine furniture and accessories boutique, opened its doors to customers on Lake Avenue in Saint James in late September. The store is owned by local interior designer Natalie Weinstein, who has been decorating homes and space for clients since 1973.
