Hauppauge based Flexible Business Systems Inc. is planning to double their space in technology park and increase its staff by 40 by 2016.

The company, which has been in business since 1985,  helps small businesses and medical practices integrate new technologies.

Smithtown Restaurants Build New Community Ties Post-Sandy

Many Smithtown eateries suffered irreparable losses while left without electricity for days into weeks after Hurricane Sandy, But those that came through emerged with stronger bonds with the local community.

Joseph DiNicola, owner of Del Fuego Tex Mex Kitchen and Tequila Bar in St. James, believes coming through the devastation of Hurricane Sandy creating a lasting relationship between the restaurant and nearby residents.

Pottery Barn to Open 3 Stores at Mall

Pottery Barn will open three stores next week at Walt Whitman Shops. 

Customers will have walk-through access among the stores, Pottery Barn, PBteen and Pottery Barn Kids. The company said the triple lineup is its first in the world, and the teen store its first on Long Island.

Set for 10 a.m. Thursday, the grand opening will include a giveaway of back sacks for the first 200 PBteen customers.
