Great music lives on in Northport. The Northport Patches segment on Opera Night is a true testment that fine opera highlights can thrive on Long Island.

Yes, the Patch did a great job editing the entire evening. Showed a great sampling of the fine talent.

I have been attending the Opera Night performances for several years now and I must say,, the shows are improving. There's something about Isabella's ability to meld together the audience and the performers into a big family. I would love to become part of it.

Opera Night is a gem in Northport Village. I ask my ballet students at Posey School to attend as a part of their arts education. What could be easier? Learning about fine opera right in their home town. Ballet and the Opera are old friends!

The accoustics in St. Paul's Methodist Church are fabulous, giving the singers an extra boost.

As an opera lover and a former critic of the medium,I was curious to attend Opera Night. So these are the best singers in Long Island? I didn't hear any talented or beautiful voices, But for $10 donations, I suppose its a rewarding place to roost on Fridays.

These were most certainly talented and beautiful voices! One rung under the Met!!

TELL 200 OPERA LOVING FANS THAT SHOW UP EVERY MONTH THAT THEY ARE NOT LISTENING TO BEAUTIFUL TALENTED VOICES.

Richard Slattery is the best videographer! The voices are clear, the camera steady, and a sense of "loving opera" prevails. Terrific.
Jason Molinet December 30, 2011 at 10:40 PM
@Doris Good call. Rich is as good as there is on Long Island.
